Can you really win your money worries away?

Have you ever joined the queue dreaming of a lucky lottery win? The recent record $150 million Powerball win on offer drew crowds of hopeful punters.

Whilst many of us daydream about what we would do if we “won it big!”, the reality doesn’t always match the dream. You may be surprised to learn that the reality of winning big is both less likely, and more problematic than you may imagine.

Many of those who have been lucky, (some say unlucky!), enough to win big, have ended up with more headaches than happily-ever-afters.

There have been numerous instances of lottery winners who lose it all. Mismanaged winnings, through frivolous overspending and lending/giving money away, leave “lucky” winners overwhelmed and suspicious, with strained relationships. Often ending up worse off than before.

But what if you could win, without the stress and anxiety Sudden Wealth Syndrome may bring? Without even having to gamble away the cost of a ticket?

The truth is, winning your money worries away may be closer than you think. And perhaps not where you would think to look.

The real win is learning how to manage your money…

The truth is that path to financial freedom is made of many deliberate small incremental steps, rather than single huge leaps.

Learn how to manage your money.

Keys to managing your money wisely are simple. Learn to live off your own money. Track your spending. Be mindful with your purchases. Reduce your debt by saving more than you spend. Build up a safety buffer. Set SMART goals. Invest wisely and in line with your time frames and attitude towards risk.

Connect with your future. Start small but start today, and you too can win your dream of financial freedom.

Now wouldn’t that be nice!
